After the trial: if you haven’t activated a license, saved accounts and features lock — but nothing is deleted. Your accounts, saved providers, models, config, and settings stay on your device, and a one-time license unlocks them again instantly. Existing Pro users are never affected.
Activate your license
- Buy on the website and keep the license key from your Gumroad receipt. Do not buy again if you already own a license.
- Open CodexUse → Settings → Support and click Manage license.
- Paste your key and click Activate.
Note: License state is shared between the desktop app and the CLI on this computer. App-initiated checkout can activate automatically and survives restart for 24 hours. Checks pause after 20 minutes; use Check payment again or your receipt key. Website purchases use receipt-key activation. One license supports up to five computers, in any mix of Apple Silicon macOS, Windows, and Linux.
