Profiles & accounts
Profiles map to OpenAI accounts. Each profile keeps its own auth and config, so you can switch accounts without logging out.
Create a profile
- Click Add Profile.
- Name the profile (Work, Personal, Client).
- Complete OAuth login in your browser.
Switch profiles
Use the sidebar, tray menu, or the quick switcher (Cmd/Ctrl + K).
Refresh login
If a profile expires, click Refresh to re-auth without deleting the profile.
Profile limits
- Free: 2 profiles.
- Pro: unlimited profiles.
Duplicate account warning
If two profiles share the same OpenAI account, CodexUse warns you because it splits rate limits across profiles.
